     Cherry tomatoes come in different shapes and colors. The most popular color is red, but there is also, yellow, orange, green, and even pink. The shapes of cherry tomatoes can be, round, oval, pear, or pointed.

     Cherry tomatoes produce many blossoms. They grow well in full sunlight, fertile soil, and moisture.

     To begin growing the tomatoes, start the seeds indoors on a warm surface, about six to eight weeks before the last expected frost date. Plant the seeds 1/4 inch deep and approximately 2 inches apart. Water so the soil is moist, but not soggy.

     In a week or two, you will began to see the first signs of growth. Provide plants with full sun light. Once the plants have broken through, full sunlight is no longer necessary. As the second set of leaves start to appear it is time to transplant the tomatoes

     Transplant small tender plants to a pot. When the night temperature are above 50 degrees F. and the danger of freezing temperatures occurring has passed, transplant the tomato plants outdoors into your garden. Set each tender plant (seedling) 2 to 3 feet apart in rich, well-drained soil.

     If you have fast draining soil, you will need to keep a close eye on your plants, and water often. Once again, the soil should be moist but not soggy. Check the soil before watering.
